Day 1 was a very jetlagged day wandering around Reykjavik, so we're starting the series at Day 2. The above & below were taken at Gulffoss, or "Golden Waterfall" – a part of the Golden Circle loop near Reykjavík.

One of many gifs of Bree – shot from the hillsides by the Haukadalur Geothermal Field
Skógafoss & the Sólheimasandur plane crash
A quaint view from Reynisfjara, Black Sand Beach
Tfw you're on the coolest beach in Iceland 😊
It was much too windy to be flying a drone on this beach, and my drone-child had a sandy crash minutes later amidst low battery & "HEAVY WIND LAND IMMEDIATELY" warnings. So, lessons learned, ...but this is one of the few shots that I was able to get! (along with the cover video of this post).
The drive to & from our campsite for the third night was about an hour of dirt roads through a completely empty landscape. Which set the tone for many of the following drives as we put more distance between ourselves & Reykjavik.

A few scenes from the foggy shores of Höfn...
Steps away from our guesthouse in Höfn – The Milk Factory.

Hengifoss and Litlanesfoss Waterfall
Borgarfjarðarhöfn – Puffin Sanctuary
These puffins were about an hour or two north of our campsite in Egilsstaðir, in by far the most remote & snowy drive of our trip. Easily a top highlight for me.
Namafjall Hverir Geothermal Area – up in the volcanoes 👀
One of our many beautiful roadside pee stops.
All good things must come to an end – views from our Airbnb on the last night on Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
